Kalapathhar Everest Base Camp Trek

This Mt. Everest base camp Trip remarkable trip of life time which offers us to observe the highest point on earth by open eye from the close distance from the point Kalapathar. It is in the Sagarmatha National Park. this trek start after flying to lukla from kathmandu. Following some of famous Town, Namche, Tyangboche, Dingboche, Ghorakhshep, Everest base camp can be reached. Very old Buddhist monastery, Mani walls, prayer wheels, prayer flags and Buddhist religious festivals such as Mani Rimdu , Dhumji can be observe during this trip. Beautiful wild life such ad Musk deer, Himalayan Thar ,colorful birds as well as alpine vegetation also can be seen. On the other hand Mt. Everest and other above 8000 meter mountains are the major attraction of this region.

Day 01: Arrival in Kathmandu.

Detail Intinerary

Day 01: Arrival in Kathmandu.

On your arrival day we will be waiting for you at the airport to receive you and we will transfer you to hotel and you have refreshment time at hotel after check in inot hotel. In the evening a short briefing on the program.

Day 02: Sightseeing in Kathmandu:

Visit Pashupatinath the holiest Hindu Shrines dedicated to the Lord Shiva as incarnation of Pashupati Lord of animals. Baudhanath The largest Bhddhist Stupa of its kind, built in 5th century and dedicated to the memory of Buddhist demi-god. Gokarna Safari is located 10km east of Kathmandu. Wildlife activities can be seen from on elephant back. Swayambhunath visit 2500-year-old 2nd Holiest Buddhist Shrine.

Day 03: Fly Lukla (2800 m) and trek to Phakding (2652m)

This morning we take the flight ( 25 minutes ) from kathmandu to Lukla and the start waking for around two hours 2 hours to phakding crossing through Chhiplung (2700m), Ghat and then finally finish first day’s easy walk at Phakding.

Day 04: Trek to Namche Bazaar (3,420m)

The trek really starts from this day. After breakfast we start walking and cross the steel bedge just after the village then after hours walk we enter into Sagarmatha National Park area and still go forward to Namche village which takes around 6-7 hours of total walking.

Day 05: Acclimatization day at Namche Bazaar

This Namche bazaar is at 3420 meters from sea level in alpine environment, people take rest for acclimatization which keeps matching with the local our b to fit us with high altitude environment, which decreases the possibilities of suffering from high altitude sickness.

Day 06: Trek to Tengboche (3,860m)

At Tyangboche there is world renowned Bhuddist monastery and it is famous for Buddhist religious festivals such as Mani Rimdu , Dhumji etc. It is also the place where we can see Musk deer. On the left Mt. Thamaserku, Mt. Khangtega can be seen where as on the north sied Mt. Everest can be seen from Tyangboche.

Day 07: Trek to Dingboche (4,360m)

From Tyangboche we walk slope down to Debuche village following alpine Rhododendron forest and following same trail forward to the next village to Pangboche where we stop for lunch.after lunch we continue walk for to Dingboche which takes 5-6 hours of walking.

Day 08: Trek to Lobuche (4,940m)

It takes around 6- 7 hours to reach Labuche where there is small village having few lodges surrounded by high Himalaya.As much as we walk more up toward Mountain, the view of the scenery will be more stunning, even its little difficult at walking.

Day 09: Trek to Gorak Shep (5170 m)

This day we have to walk through rocky and very rough trail, It is in distance of 4 hours walking through rocky trail. Here around we can see only snow ice and glaciers and mountains as we already reached over the timberline.

Day 10: Trek to Kala Pathar (5,550m)

The Kala Pathar, which is slope upwards from Ghorakhshep and takes almost four hours to be at the top and 2 hours to get back to Gorakhshep. It ilittrelly means a hill of black rock , this Kallapathar hilll having higher elevation than Everest base campwhich is the best spot to view the summit of Mt. Everest and other big mountain on surroundings.

Day 11: Trek to Everest Base Camp (5,365m)

Everest Base camp can be reached after 3 hours walking through the rocky trail having slight up and down and as well as ice blocks and tiny ice lakes , where Everest expedition group set their base camps for their Mt. Everest Expedition. We return to Gorakhshep After visiting base camp .

Day 12: Trek to Pheriche (4100 m)

We have to trek back down following the same way and crossing same village Labuche and then still down. The small settlement Pheriche in the village situated next to Dingboche on the bottom of Mt. Tawoche and tsolatse after 6-7 hours walking this Pheriche can be reached.

Day 13: Trek to Namche (3420 m)

From here the trail gows slope wards dodn to tyangboche and the again slope down to The river bank the nit It goes gradual up to namche bazaar, Which takes almost 7 hours of walking to get back to Namche.

Day 14: Trek to Lukla

Namche to lukla is the also the interesting tour as we walk half of our trek inside national park and half of walk out side of park. It takes approximately 5-6 hours to get to Lukla from the Namche, where we stay at lodge and we will have group dinner as this is the last day of our trekking.

Day 15: Fly to Kathmandu (1300 m)

We will take early morning flight and fly to Kathmandu keeping all the memorable and picturesque landscape on our back ground, This day after arriving to kathmandu we will have free and relaxing day in kathmandu.

Day 16: Departure

This day you should be ready with all your baggage and on your given time our representative will come to hotel and take you to international airport at Kathmandu and they will leave you at airport for final departure.
