LANGTANG TREK

Itinerary

Day 01: Arrival in Kathmandu. Welcome clients at the airport and transfer to hotel and check-in. A short briefing on the program after refreshment.

Day 02: Full day sightseeing two medieval cities in Bhaktapur and Patan.

Day 03: Kathmandu to Bhawanipati 848m. An early morning drive to Panchkhal and trek begins with a walk descending to Chak Khola and reaching at Madandaura lunch continue again walking to Indrawati River camping for overnight.

Day 04: Bhawanipati to Koelphedi 970m. Following the track of two rivers Indrawati and Melamchi keeps going leftward way to Tarang Marang stop for lunch for a while. After having the lunch a continual heading for right bank later than crossing a suspension bridge camp at Melamchi River the propinquity of Koel phedi.

Day 05: Koelphedi to Tarkegyang 2445m. As usual base trek starts following a an ongoing climb up to Thimbu overcoming a walk of one and half hours. A tougher inclination for Tarkegyang a potential village for performing cultural program upon a request in reture a self-effacing contribution is approving.

Day 06: Tarkgyang to Melamchi 2450m. After 2 hours of descending to Melamchi River where you can rest and swim while waiting for lunch. After lunch we continue with steep climb for 3 hrs to Melamchi Gaun. This Sherpa village has a thriving orchard.

Day 07: Melamchi to Kutumsang 2450m. We descend to the stream and make a steep ascent for our lunch we take an easy walk for 3 hrs through rhododendron forest to our campsite at Kutumsang. Here we have a good view of the Eastern Himalayas.

Days 08/09: Kutumsang to Golbhanjyang 2112m. Walking 6 hrs. After walking through a forest for an hour, we to descend for 2 or 3 hrs. to our campsite at Golbhanjyangdanda.Now we have a steep descend for 2 or 3 hrs. to Patibhanjyang for lunch. After that we have to a steep climb of about 2 hrs to Chisopanidanda where we have one of the best camping sites under an oak tree. From here, there are panoramic views of Mt. Everest,  Gaurishankar, Ganesh Himal and other eastern mountains.

Day 10: Golbhanjyang to Sundarijal. Walking 4 hrs. Today, we have an hour's gradual climb to Maikharka. From here the route descends all the way to Sundarijal, where we meet our transrport to Kathamdandu.

Day 11:  Half day sightseeingin Kathmandu and in the evening a farewell dinner.

Day 12: Transfer from hotel to airport for final departure.

LANGTANG VALLEY TREK

Day 01: Arrival in Kathmandu. Welcome clients at the airport and transfer to hotel and check-in. A short briefing on the program after refreshment.

Day 02: Full day sightseeing two medieval cities in Bhaktapur and Patan.

Day 03: Kathmandu via Trishuli to Dhunche 1950m. A distance from Kathmandu to Trishuli is approximately 72KM and 50 KM from Trishuli to Dhunche.

Day 04: Dhunche to Syabru 2130m. The trail leaves the road and follows the Trishuli Khola crossing it and climbing steeply and then leaving a ridge to Bharkhu at 1860m. From Bharkhu climb to 2300m and enter the Langtang Valley with views of Himalayan peaks to the west north and east. The trail descend rapidly to Syabru. It is a junction point for many Langtang trail.

Day 05: Syabru to Lama Hotel 2380m. The trail descend through forest to the Langtang Khola at 1890m. then follows the river upstream crossing from the southern to northern bank to reach Chongong or Lama Hotel.

Day 06: Lama Hotel to Langtang village 3500m. The trail continues to follow the Langtang Khola, climbing steeply, at time very steeply, to Ghora Tabela at 3000m where there are fine views of Langtang Librung. From ghora Tabela the trail climbs more gradually to Langtang Vallage.

Day 07:  Langtang Village to Kyanjin Gompa 3800m. Passing through small village it only takes the morning to climb to Kyanjin Gompa where there is a monastery lodges and a Cheese Factory.

Day 08:  Kyanjin Gompa. Rest day or day walk be made to Yala or further up the valley for more superb views.

Day 09: Trek back to Lama Hotel.

Day 10: Trek back to Syabru.

Day 11: Trek down to Dhunche.

Day 12: Drive back to Kathmandu and half day sightseeing and in the evening a farewell dinner.

Day 13: Drive from hotel to the airport for final departure.

LANGTANG  & GOSHAINKUND TREK

Day 01: Arrival in Kathmandu. Welcome clients at the airport and transfer to hotel and check-in. A short briefing on the program after refreshment.

Day 02: Full day sightseeing two medieval cities in Bhaktapur and Patan.

Day 03: Kathmandu via Trishuli to Dhunche 1950m. A distance from Kathmandu to Trishuli is approximately 72KM and 50 KM from Trishuli to Dhunche.

Day 04: Dhunche to Syabru 2130m. The trail leaves the road and follows the Trishuli Khola crossing it and climbing steeply and then leaving a ridge to Bharkhu at 1860m. From Bharkhu climb to 2300m and enter the Langtang Valley with views of Himalayan peaks to the west north and east. The trail descend srapidly to Syabru. It is a junction point for many Langtang trail.

Day 05: Syabru to Sing Gompa 3350m. Today is a steeper walk mostly uphill with some characteristically Himalayan ups and downs. The terrain remains forested with open areas, which give views back the way you have come. Your stop today is Sing Gompa at the town at Chandanbari. You can visit the old monastery.

Day 06: Sing Gompa to Goshainkund Lake 4380m. This morning you take one of the less-trekked trails to Gosainkund Lake. It is a steep climb, but spectacular. This is one of the highest lakes in the world. You may have some mild altitude symptoms here, such as a loss of appetite or headache. The pilgrims consider it a sign of Shiva's (Hindu God) blessing.

Day 07: Goshainkund to Tharepati. After Goshainkund the air at today's stop Tharepati will be seen positively thick. Up early to start a short climb to a pass above the lake followed by a steep downhill section on a high trail. Finally, over a ridge is Tharepati a long day but spectacular.

Day 08: Tharepati to Kutumsang. More downhill today with only one small ridge to cross enroute. Stop at Kutumsang an interesting typically old-fashioned Helambu village.

Day 09: Kutumsang to Chisopani. A shorter day but with two descends and climbs to Chisopani { cold water } where the view of the whole central Himalayas is breathtaking. Landscapes will be reflective in the evening and early morning hours.

Day 10: Chisopani to Sundarijal/Kathmandu. More super views today while descending to the road through oak and rhododendron forests, with some pine a lower altitude. Continuing on down towards Sundarijal you will intersect a road and waterworks project, which supplies much of Kathmandu's drinking water. Where the road becomes passable our vehicle will meet you and take back to Kathmandu.

Day 11: Half day sightseeing and in the evening a farewell dinner.

Day 12: Transfer from hotel to the airport for final departure.

LANGTANG KYANGIN GOMPA

Day 01: Arrival in Kathmandu. Welcome clients at the airport and transfer to hotel and check-in. A short briefing on the program after refreshment.

Day 04: Dhunche to Syabru 2130m. The trail leaves the road and follows the Trishuli River crossing it and climbing steeply and then leaving a ridge to Bharu 1860m. From Bharku climb to 2300m. and enter the Langtang Valley with views of Himalayan peaks to the west north and east. The trail descends rapidly to Syabru. Syabru is a junction point for many Langtang trail.

Day 05: Syabru to Lama Hotel 2380m. The trail descend through forest to the Langtang River at 1890m then follows the river stream, crossing from the southern to northern bank to reach Chongong or Lama Hotel.

Day 06: Lama Hotel to Langtang village 3500m. The trail continues to follow the Langtang River climbing steeply at time very steeply at time very steeply, to Ghora Tabela 3000m. where there are fine views of Langtang Lirung.

Day 07: Langtang Village to Kyanjin Gompa 3800m. Passing through small village it only takes the morning to climb to Kyajin Gompa where there is a monastery lodges and a Cheese Factory.

Day 08: Kyanjin Gompa. Rest day or day walk to be made to Yala or further up the valley for more superb views.  

Day 09: Trek back to Lama Hotel.

Day 10: Trek back to Syabru.

Day 11: Trek down to Dhunche.

Day 12: Drive back to Kathmandu and half day sightseeing and in the evening a farewell dinner with a cultural show.

Day 13: Drive from hotel to the airport for final departure.
