General Information
Access: From KTM fly to Bhadrapur in the east Nepal 1 hour then drive to Kakarvitta {Nepal India Border 34KM} to Siliguri 36KM and Gangtok or Darjeeling. There are also daily Helicopter flights from Bagdogra to Gangtok.
Best Season March –May and October- December
Temperature:
During Summer- Maximum 20 Degree Celsius
During Winter Minimum 7 Degree Celsius
Adventure: Trekking, Mountaineering, Rafting and Yak Safari.
Accommodation: There are modern hotels and restaurants in Gangtok & Darjeeling. Comfortable resort and lodges are available in the outlying area.
Visa Regulations:
Single Entry Tourist Visa is obtainable either in all entry points or Royal Nepalese Diplomatic Missions abroad upon a payment of US $ 30.00 for 60 days. In options of those visitors who wish for obtaining single, double or multiple re-entry visas is also possible with a supplementary payment of US 25.00, US $ 30.00 and US $ 60.00 correspondingly.
In term of those visitors who have already visited in Nepal with Tourist Visa and intends again to enter in the same year within 150 days visa is obtaibable on the payment of US $ 50.00 for one month.
In connection with those visitors wishing for stay more than 60 days in Nepal can extendible their Tourist Visa upon a payment of US $ 50.00 or equivalent Nepalese Currency for 30 days from Department of Immigration.
Visitors holding tourist visa are subject to staying only 150 days.
