In 9th century the great-grandson of the contemporary Tibetan King fled to Ladakh escorting with his 1000 soldiers due to the invasion of Tibet by Chinese King. He eventually got married with the princess of Ladakh and their son got started ruling over the different parts of its kingdom.
Ladakh has long been known as 'Little Tibet" as well as called Centre of Asian Diamond. After an annexation of China the Monastic Buddhism has been most
relevant and important for both Buddhist and non-Budhhist world.
The sprawling sandy valley, the plains at the elevations between 3000m to 4550m not only occupied by the nomadic people but also huddled by the small hamlets is the main inspiring phenomena for the travelers. Monasteries are typically sited often on the rock face or on the top of the hill.
